The Gazi Faculty of Education Research and Development (R&D) Unit held its August meeting online on 4 August 2026, during which progress towards the targets set for the first half of 2026 was reviewed and plans for the fall semester were discussed.

During the meeting, it was agreed to follow up on the production of training videos for TÜBİTAK 2209 student projects and to issue an announcement encouraging faculty members responsible for preparing content to complete their contributions. It was also decided that reports on the achievement of targets during the first six months of 2026 would be shared with the heads of academic departments.

As part of the planning for the fall semester, the organisation of an introductory event on BAP student projects two to three weeks after the beginning of the semester was discussed, along with the inclusion of workshops in these activities. It was also proposed to establish a series of project-focused events covering ESC30 and BAP student projects, to be held at one-week intervals. Within this framework, student projects that were not accepted under the TÜBİTAK 2209 call would be guided towards other suitable project programmes.

Regarding activities for faculty members, it was agreed to organise an information session on the TÜBİTAK 1002, 3501, and 3005 programmes at the beginning of the fall semester, with a particular focus on assistant professors.

The meeting concluded with the decision to hold the next meeting on Tuesday, 1 September 2026, at 12:30, followed by closing remarks and suggestions from the participants.
