8 June 2026 | 16:30

The Gazi Faculty of Education Research and Development (R&D) Unit held its June meeting on 2 June 2026 in the Dean’s Office Meeting Room, where decisions were made regarding end-of-semester activities and plans for the upcoming academic term.

During the meeting, the latest progress on the TÜBİTAK 2209 student project training videos planned for the spring semester was reviewed. It was agreed that faculty members delivering the presentations would schedule recording appointments by specifying their preferred dates and times, and that the online sessions would be recorded.

Information was also provided on the evaluation process for draft BAP project proposals to be submitted by the Faculty. It was agreed that the evaluation meeting would be held online on Monday, 8 June 2026, at 19:00.

The Unit also reported that preparations had been completed for the “Projects in 100 Questions for the 100th Anniversary” event, organised as part of the Faculty’s 100th anniversary activities. The event was planned to be held online on a date to be determined in June, with presentations by three faculty members. In addition, it was agreed that the complete set of questions and answers would be published on the GEF R&D website.

As part of other planned activities, a workshop on patents and utility models was proposed in collaboration with the Patent Support Unit. It was also planned to launch a series of experience-sharing panels on ESC30 Solidarity Projects beginning in September.

The meeting concluded with a discussion of general proposals for the 2026–2027 fall semester, followed by closing remarks and suggestions from the participants.
