The Gazi University Gazi Faculty of Education Research and Development (R&D) Unit held its regular February meeting on Tuesday, 3 February 2026, from 12:30 to 13:30 in Meeting Room 1, Hersek Building, with the participation of Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Serçin KARATAŞ, GEF R&D Coordinator Prof. Dr. Pınar ŞAFAK, and Deputy Coordinator Asst. Prof. Dr. Figen DEMİREL UZUN.

The meeting began with a review of the outstanding items in the activity report covering the period from 1 January to 31 December 2025. Unit members shared their views on the revisions and updates to be made to the report.

Plans for a series of regular project training activities to be organised during the spring semester were then discussed. In this context, planning was undertaken for student project training, TÜBİTAK 1001 project training, and Erasmus+ project training.

A seminar was planned to raise awareness of patent application and acquisition processes. It was also agreed that further work would be undertaken to develop workshops focusing on patent-related processes.

The planning of international experience-sharing events was also discussed. An event was proposed in which Prof. Dr. Çağlan GÜNAL would share her knowledge and experience regarding Scientific Research Projects (BAP).

As the R&D Unit, members also exchanged views on activities that could be organised as part of the Faculty’s 100th anniversary events.

The meeting concluded with the scheduling of the next meeting, followed by closing remarks and suggestions from the participants.
